We are pleased to offer creativity coaching as a new and exciting service! Creativity coaching is not therapy or counselling and it is not teaching people to be artists. A creativity coach provides support for people who wish to develop their personal potential and to live a fuller and more vital life. In creativity coaching, you are invited to talk about issues in your life that are getting in the way of your personal development and in pursuing personal goals. We offer encouragement, feedback and suggestions for how you might create experiences for yourself that provide satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment. Personal goals can include the development of artistic pursuits. Mary's experience as a textile artist and Gary's interest in creative writing lend themselves well to those needs. Creativity coaching often addresses the balance between the demands of daily life and time to pursue individual interests and passions, artistic or otherwise. Increased awareness of beliefs, attitudes and behavioural patterns as obstacles to personal expression and growth is also a common focus. Creativity coaching is, however, "responsive" in that it is guided by the uniqueness of the individual person. We have both completed creativity coaching training with Dr. Eric Maisel who has been a driving force behind the development of this fledgling profession. The course of study was a very rich experience including extensive content and practical experience in coaching people via e-mail contact each week. We have been providing individual coaching for people in face-to-face sessions for some time. Use of e-mail is an effective alternative choice for participating in this service, particularly for individuals living in other locales. "I want you to know that your work with me has helped me tremendously to trust myself and my process, and that I really appreciate it." - Angie Mangino, Trottenville, NY. "Thank you for sticking with me." - Jane from Oregon. "Your coaching has always been low key and well directed." - Sanford from Pennsylvania. "I think your help in making me recognize the validity of honouring myself, my own life experience, ideas, feelings, is big!" - Penny from Ontario. "It never ceases to amaze me how the creative process becomes an expedition into self awareness." - Hank Rodina, NYC. We work with clients in developing a coaching plan. Our rate for e-mail coaching is $175.00 per month. That includes a minimum of one e-mail exchange per week. The frequency of e-mail contact may vary from week to week. Clients may opt for short-term, long-term or a periodic coaching relationship. Please contact us for more information about our coaching services and if they might be appropriate for you. We can also tell you more about the option of face-to-face coaching. |
