W O R K S H O P S In all of my workshops instilling confidence, passion and daring are important objectives. All workshops provide a safe environment for exploration and risk taking and lead to more creativity in all aspects of life. Contact me with expressions of interest and we can discuss your needs. "Quilt Fusion" Intermediate to Advanced Level 3-day workshop "Quilt Fusion" willl assist you in developing personal awareness as a means of advancing your creative process. You will examine ways you stop your creative energy and develop strategies for enhancing your creative life. Using creativity and design exercises you will discover new ways to tap into your intuitive abilities. You will create a fabric collage using fusible web, stitching and your imagination! "Playing to Learn, Learning to Play" Intermediate to Advanced Level 2-day to 5-day workshop Learn to experience more joy and playfulness in your creative work. In Playing to Learn, Learning to Play you will explore ways to increase your spontaneity and creativity. There will be exercises designed to foster risk taking and develop intuitive skills. The longer workshops provide opportunities for more in-depth exploration. L E C T U R E "Art Quilts and Meaning" Every quilt has a story to tell. Through our quilts we tell our personal stories, express our emotions and explore our spiritual beliefs. Sometimes our quilts help us to make discoveries about ourselves. Sometimes they give us hope and help us to heal from life’s wounds. This lecture and slide presentation is about my own experience of breast cancer as well as the experiences of many others who have learned about themselves and found healing through their quilts. This is an ever-changing presentation that reflects my own growth and experiences as well as my connections with other quiltmakers. Fee schedule:   Workshop Fee $450.00 per day Lecture Fee $250.00 Juror/Judge’s Fee Available on request Transportation: Full round trip airfare or 27 cents per kilometre for round trip car expenses; parking fees and cab or shuttle fare to and from airport; airfare to be reimbursed as soon as tickets are received. Accomodations: Full room and board expenses; prefer bed and breakfast accommodations, however, I will consider private home accommodations with private room and private bath; non-smoking accommodations only. Other information: Workshop and lecture fees are to be paid immediately upon completion of the last workshop or lecture. There is a minimum fee of $500.00 for any one day workshop or single lecture that requires air travel or more than a day of land travel. These fees remain in effect for any dates contracted before September 1, 2004. After this date, all fees may increase. mary@exploringcreativity.com
